The University of Michigan is the state run, public university serving Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint. The University was founded in 1817, and today the enrollment is over 54,000 students. The University has specialities in Life Sciences, Medicine and Technology.[2]

Varsity sports teams at the U of M are Wolverines.
